He is adored and also pleaded for a child by those who want a child in their families. On the other hand, he is disrespected as a family that is lack of attention on the prosperity of their family because he has to grow many children in his family. At the present, his existences is decorating the gardens lots as an absurd family which described briefly in a literary work known as Brayut geguritan. Implicitly, behind the absurdity of this family described in the beginning of the geguritan, can be found that the concept of Tantrayana strongly influence the social diversity system of the Balinese Hindus in Bali. Tantrayana is a religious sect of Hindus in India which then localized in Bali.
It might be influenced with Balinese local genius which obtain similar concepts that enable the Tantric teach ings to be acculturated.Setyawan Purnama2009-07-01Full Text Available As a main destination of tourism in Indonesia, Bali develops rapidly. The impact of this phenomena is the increasing of water need in some sectors, whereas the available of water is constant.
There are two objectives of this research. First, to calculate water available and water need in the research area, and second to analysis the water balance. Water available cover groundwater, rivers water and springs water, whereas water need cover domestic usage, industrial and hotel usage, cattle, fishery and irrigation. Groundwater is estimated by water balance concept, river water and spring data is collected from BPSDA Bali Province, whereas the water need is counted base on secondary data that collected from some departments in Bali Province. As a result, show that the water available in Bali Island is 2.604.483.300 m³/year, which consist of groundwater 693.296.200 m³/year, rivers water 1.903.678.000 m³/year and springs 7.509.600 m³/year.
The water needs reach 1.213.625.300 m³/year, which consist of domestic usage 121.276.260 m³/year, industrial and hotel usage 20.038.068 m³/year, cattle 31.272.435 m³/year, fishery 125.305.574 m³/year and irrigation 915.733.000 m³/year. Base on the water balance ratio, it is known that the number of ratio is 47% that it means almost in critical point.Turker, Sidhi2017-01-01The growth of the tourism product development, alternative and special interest developed nowdays for example religious, sport tourism, and is rapidly growing these days is voluntourism. It is a form of tourism product interest the tourist especially from the wealth countries which have the awareness to support quality development in countries that are developing that made sustainable tourism development benefit and a real advantage for the local community. This decision, known as the Bali Action Plan, contains two subparagraphs that set out broadly the parameters within which future possible legal obligations pertaining to developed and developing nations regarding the mitigation of climate change are to be addressed as part of this process as per the decision. The purpose of addressing these obligations is to enable the implementation of the Convention, so the subparagraphs should have a basis in the Convention.
One subparagraph deals with future possible legal obligations pertaining to developed country Parties and the other deals with those pertaining to developing country Parties. The content of each subparagraph differs and therefore a fundamental difference in the future possible legal obligations pertaining to developed and developing country Parties is pre-defined within the Bali Action Plan. This difference, as it is perceived by most developing country Parties, has become known colloquially as the Bali firewall. This article will set out the content of the pre-defined sets of parameters and investigate the basis for this content, and difference in content in relation to the other, in the provisions and principles set out in the Convention. It will then conclude on the validity of the Bali firewall in terms of the content of the Convention. Additionally it will analyse whether the ‘outcome’ of the 15th Conference of the Parties falls in line with the future legal obligations of member states within the climate regime as perceived by most developing country Parties in terms of the Bali firewall. Lastly it will analyse member states’ future legal obligations within the climate change regime in the context of the overall objective of the Convention and the.Anak Agung Putu Mahendra Putra2016-04-01Full Text Available Game bukan merupakan hal yang baru di Masyarakat Indonesia.

As a tropical archipelago, many kinds of biodiversity can be found. The island of Bali in particular, there are typical animal diversity that could not be investigated beyond such island, such as, Bali cattle, Bali dog, Bali starling and others. As time goes on, the existance of such biodiversity decreases in both body weight and population number. Both global warming/climate change and land use change are the main factors affecting such phenomenon. This study has been conducted by employing field observation as well as literature study. It was found that, the quality of purebred Bali cattle species decreases genetically that could be notified of smaller bodysize for both male and female.
Land use change of agriculture activity to the hotels, house of living, roads and other infrastructures are the main factors for Bali cattle existence. For typical famous bird of Balistarling, the problem is because of deforestation which cause natural habitat loss, due to land use change for agricultural activity and house building by local people. In case of Bali dog, the mad dog of rabies is just introduce and spreading over Bali island, whichis formerly the island of Bali has been recognised as free zone area of the rabies. As consequence, suffering dogs must be eliminated by mass killing cause decrease total number of such poor dog. Overall, it could be concluded that environmental degradations of land use change, deforestation and desease are the main causes of biodiversity decreasing number of the Bali cattle, Bali white starling and Bali dog respectively, beside global warming/climate change natural disaster. Key words: Environment, Bali cattle, Bali starling, Bali dog, Bali island.Wajdi, Majid; Subiyanto, Paulus2018-01-01The language of Bali could be grouped into one of the most elaborate languages of the world since the existence of its speech levels, low and high speech levels, as the language of Java has.
Low and high speech levels of the language of Bali are language codes that could be used to show and express social relationship between or among its speakers. This paper focuses on describing, analyzing, and interpreting the use of the low code of the language of Bali in daily communication in the speech community of Pegayaman, Bali. Observational and documentation methods were applied to provide the data for the research. Recoding and field note techniques were executed to provide the data. Recorded in spoken language and the study of novel of Balinese were transcribed into written form to ease the process of analysis. Symmetric use of low code expresses social equality between or among the participants involves in the communication. It also implies social intimacy between or among the speakers of the language of Bali.
Regular and patterned use of the low code of the language of Bali is not merely communication strategy, but it is a kind of communication agreement or communication contract between the participants. By using low code during their social and communication activities, the participants shared and express their social equality and intimacy between or among the participants involve in social and communication activities.Adrian Vickers2011-12-01Full Text Available The 1950s is a gap in the usual studies of tourism in Bali, but this was a crucial decade for rebuilding the tourist industry after World War II and the Indonesian Revolution, and for establishing a post-colonial industry. The reconstruction of the tourist industry drew on Dutch attempts to rebuild tourism during the 1940s. The process of reconstruction required the creation of a souvenir industry, in which Balinese women entrepreneurs played a key role, the building of networks of hotels, and the recreation of tourist itineraries. Paradoxically, the leaders in rebuilding the industry were leading figures on the Republican side during the Indonesian Revolution, but relied on Dutch precedents and patterns. The 1950s represented an optimistic period of relative autonomy, before the centralised control of the New Order government came into play.I Wayan Batan2015-05-01Full Text Available The purposeof this studywas toanalyze theeconomic losses due torabies outbreak on human anddogin the province of Bali in2008-2011.

The results of the research were analyzed through a descriptive interpretative approach in order to understand premarital sex and pregnancy. Based on the analysis, the conclusion are: there are communication problems in the family, so that the understanding of sexuality among youth is usually formed by sources outside the family. There?s no relation was found between premarital sex and social economic status of the family.
In Bali, premarital pregnancy indicates the constant efforts of young people to challenge the status quo in Bali which places certain castes in a higher position than others. Therefore, the roles of many institution such as: school, government, non-governmental organization, and religious community (PHDI should be increasing.Manuaba, A1976-12-01Development in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, has been planned and done through several stages of the Five-Year Development Programs, which started in 1969, and emphasized intensification of agriculture and extensification of industries related to potential resources available in the region.
In the process, industrialization, being regarded as a prerequisite to higher living standards, brought with it problems concerning safety, health, and work conditions, especially with respect to transfer of technology. As examples, experiences and data, related particularly to ergonomics in the sectors of agriculture, hotel business, textile mills, transportation, and others in Bali, Indonesia, are reported. In dealing with such possible consequences of development, efforts to find fundamental solutions should be given the highest priority. It is necessary to make use of all the existing institutions having potential functions and roles in the policy of development planning, and to take into consideration the factors of safety, health, and work conditions in specifying technical and financial development projects for industrialization.CERN.

Bali cattle productivity has not been optimal yet. This is due to one of the limitation of feed resources, decreasing of grazing and agricultural land.
The aim of this paper is to describe Bali cattle development integrated with oil palm plantations, which is expected to improve productivity and increase Bali cattle population. This integration model is carried out by raising Bali cattle under oil palm plantation through nucleus estate scheme model or individual farmers estates business.
Some of Bali cattle raising systems have been applied in the integration of palm plantation- Bali cattle. One of the intensive systems can increase daily weight gain of 0.8 kg/head, calfcrop of 35% per year and has the potency for industrial development of feed and organic fertilizer. In the semi-intensive system, it can improve the production of oil palm fruit bunches (PFB more than 10%, increase harvested-crop area to 15 ha/farmer and reduce the amount of inorganic fertilizer. The extensive system can produce calfcrop ³70%, improve ³30% of PFB, increase business scale ³13 cows/farmer and reduce weeding costs ³16%.
Integrated Bali cattle development may provide positive added value for both, palm oil business and cattle business.Hampson, Katie; Girardi, Janice; Hiby, Elly; Knobel, Darryn; Mardiana, Wayan; Townsend, Sunny; Scott-Orr, Helen2013-01-01Emergency vaccinations and culling failed to contain an outbreak of rabies in Bali, Indonesia, during 2008–2009. The scientific literature on these cattle is scarce. The growth hormone (GH) of Bali cattle is investigated from three separated islands, namely, Bali, Nusa Penida, and Sumbawa.
Forty plasma samples were collected from each island, and the GH was measured using a commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. The data were analyzed based on the origin, sex, and cattle raising practices. We found that the GH level (bovine GH BGH) of animal kept in stall 1.72±0.70 µg/ml was higher than free-grazing animal 1.27±0.81 µg/ml. The GH level was lower in female (1.22±0.62 µg/ml) compared to male animals (1.77±0.83 µg/ml). We conclude that the level of BGH in Bali cattle was low and statistically equal from all origins. The different level was related to sex and management practices.
Further validation is needed through observing the growth rate following BGH administration and discovering the inbreeding coefficient of the animal in Indonesia.Sudo, Y.2002-01-01In the summary session, possible international activities in the field of basic studies on high-temperature engineering were discussed within the framework of the OECD/NEA Nuclear Science Committee (NSC). It was recommended to include topics relevant to fission-product behaviour and safety issues of HTGR in next meeting, in addition to the topics discussed in this meeting. The chairperson of the last session summarised the recommendations to be presented to the NSC into the following five topics as possible international activities: - Basic studies on behaviour of irradiated graphite/carbon and ceramic materials including their composites under both operation and storage conditions.
Development of in-core material characterisation and instrumentation methods. Improvement in material properties through high-temperature irradiation. Basic studies on HTGR fuel fabrication and performance including fission-product release. Basic studies on safety issues of HTGR. It was also recommended that a further information exchange meeting focused on the organisation of the interactive collaboration activity with regard to the above topics be planned in 2003, tentatively in Oarai, Japan. (author).Eliane Lessner, Co-Chair:2009-03-01A panel discussion session providing a worldwide assessment of the status and experiences of women in physics, paying attention to the different cultures and environments they work in and to how the age of the physicist affects their perspective.
We will hear about women physicists in Korea in particular and Asia in general, in Egypt in particular and Africa in general, and in the Caribbean. Six invited speakers will present analyses of the progress being made in promoting women in physics from their personal experiences and as assessed from their participation in the Third International Conference on Women In Physics (ICWIP2008) convened in Seoul, Korea in October 2008. From Albania to Zimbabwe, with representation of all the continents, ICWIP2008 congregated 283 women and men physicists from 57 countries to share the participants' scientific accomplishments and evaluate international progress in improving the status of women in physics.
This three-hour session is organized jointly by the Committee on the Status of Women in Physics of the APS (CSWP) and the Forum on International Physics of the APS (FIP). Audience participation in the panel discussion will be strongly encouraged.Kadek Rahayu Puspadewi2014-12-01Full Text Available This paper is study about the existence of ethnomathematics on the Bali woven handicraft. Ethnomathematics is mathematics that grow and develop in a particular culture. Unconsciously, the society use tesselation concepts in making woven handicraft. A tessellation is a special type of pattern that consists of geometric figures that fit without gaps or overlaps to cover the plane. The existence of ethnomathematics on woven handicraft can be used as a source of learning and of course can make learners better understand how their cultural relate with mathematics.Indayati Lanya2012-05-01Full Text Available Abstract Activities pertaining to development of spatial planningpolicy, its execution, its evaluation and review in spatialdevelopment at a national, provincial, and regencial level inIndonesia is first mandated by the Indonesian State RegulationNo. In line with the instigation the State LocalAutonomy Policy, this regulation has then been substituted bythe Indonesia State Regulation No.
26/2007 on Spatial Planning. For its implementation, this regulation is later completed withthe release of the Indonesian State Regulation No 26/2009.Conformance with these regulatory products as well as theIndonesian State Regulation No. 5/1960 on Land Reform, havegenerated problems, which are different to those of othercountries.Problems relating to spatial planning in Bali are morecomplex compared to those generally encountered by otherprovinces in Indonesia.Ahmed, Naveed; Jensen, Christian D.2012-01-01Entity authentication provides confidence in the claimed identity of a peer entity, but the manner in which this goal is achieved results in different types of authentication. An important factor in this regard is the order between authentication and the execution of the associated session.
In this paper, we consider the case of post- session authentication, where parties authenticate each other at the end of their interactive session. This use of authentication is different from session-less authentication (e.g., in RFID) and pre- session authentication (e.g., for access control.) Post.- session authentication, although a new term, is not a new concept; it is the basis of at least a few practical schemes.
We, for the first time, systematically study it and present the underlying authentication model. Further, we show that an important class of problems is solvable using post- session authentication.Pramatana, F.; Prasetyo, L. B.; Rushayati, S. B.2017-10-01Bali starling is an endemic and endangered species which tend to decrease of its population in the wild. West Bali National Park (WBNP) is the only habitat of bali starling, however it is threatened nowadays by forest fire. Understanding the sensitivity of habitat to forest & land fire is urgently needed. Geographic Information System (GIS) can be used for mapping the vulnerability of forest fire.
This study aims to analyze the contributed factor of forest fire, to develop vulnerability level map of forest fire in WBNP, to estimate habitat vulnerability of bali starling. The variable for mapping forest fire in WBNP were road distance, village distance, land cover, NDVI, NDMI, surface temperature, and slope. Forest fire map in WBNP was created by scoring from each variable, and classified into four classes of forest fire vulnerability which are very low (9 821 ha), low (5 015.718 ha), middle (6 778.656 ha), and high (2 126.006 ha).
Bali starling existence in the middle and high vulnerability forest fire class in WBNP, consequently the population and habitat of bali starling is a very vulnerable. Management of population and habitat of bali starling in WBNP must be implemented focus on forest fire impact.Romina N.
Tsakiri2007-11-01Full Text Available This article examines indicatively offences such as blasphemy, sodomy, adultery and bigamy and the penalties imposed by the Venetian authorities on the island of Crete in sixteenth century. As the sixteenth century was characterised by a strong tendency towards the moralisation of life in the states of Western Europe, State and Church focused on all forms of deviance from the Christian order: issues related to faith, individual behaviour, family life and sexuality, all became objects of discipline. The Venetian state, in collaboration with the church, also penalised offences related to Christian morality, in the island of Crete as well as elsewhere in the Venetian state. The attitude of the Venetian state towards Crete, differences between the city of Venice and the island in the administration of rules governing deviance and promoting moral standards were slight, despite the presence of a substantial Orthodox community. Although, in some offences related to family life Venetian law respected the customs of the Orthodox church. Furthermore, in some cases the treatment of Jews was stricter, as Jews were considered as a possible threat to Christianity and the social structure of the Venetian state.
A more significant factor than religious difference on the treatment of these offences was class and economic status and gender.
